Mason Brother to Brother
Mission Statement
The Brother to Brother Program is a lodge driven program to enhance
the skills of all Masons to RETAIN, REVITALIZE, and RENEW their
membership by empowering the Lodge with the right ideas and tools.
WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM

This program is designed to rekindle and expand interest in each and
every brother. The objective is to create a stronger sense of belonging
and to include family and friends in lodge activities whenever possible,
to offer more diverse programs in lodge and to have better lodge
management.
HOW DO WE DO THIS?

RETAINTo retain the interest of those brothers who have been
Masons less than a year and candidates who have not completed the
degrees. They need to be supported well after completion of degrees.
Masonic books should be made available, contacts by phone, letter,
or in person to let them know we are interested in them.
REVITALIZE
To rekindle and maintain the interest of those brethren who attend
lodge on a regular or infrequent basis. Emphasis is on lodge
management. (If you build it, they will come.) Good planning and
preparation so that Lodge meetings that can be opened and
closed without reading. Good ritual work. Start on time and stay
on track during a meeting and get finished so everyone can go
home at a reasonable time. Having a Stated Communication with
dignity, humor and fun. Provide enjoyable activities, opportunity for
service, leadership opportunities, family participation, and networking
with our peers. Providing consistent, better and diverse programs
before or after the meeting to spark interest and give members, guests,
and families something to look forward to.
RENEW
To renew the interest of members and sojourners who no
longer attend lodge. Identify Sojourners through the Secretary
who can contact the Grand Secretary and get pertinent information.
Once identified, each inactive Mason should be contacted by telephone
and followed up by a letter expressing our interest. Try to find
out why they are not attending, what are they doing,
what would get his interest, why did they join, and why do
they remain members. Find something to do for shut-ins who
cannot attend regular meetings such as being on a telephone
committee, coaching, mentoring, or serving on a committee that
could meet in his home. Make him feel needed and useful.
WHO OVERSEES THAT WE DO THESES THINGS
The Worshipful Master assumes the overall responsibility for this
program with help from Brothers appointed as a Committee and also
a Program Chairman. It is his responsibility to recognize that things
happen because someone in charge makes them happen.
WHAT DO WE WANT TO SEE HAPPEN WITH THIS PROGRAM?
The Brother to Brother Program is about people. We must identify the reasons for poor attendance and restore our missing Brothers to their place in the Lodge.

Copies of the entire information on this program will be available at the Redmond Lodge Center in the White notebook.
