What Is Freemasonry?
"Talk to one good man each Month."
Dad, How come you never ask me to become a Mason??
"Because of a rule, a Mason does not directly ask anyone to join.
Not even his best friend or his son."
No one ask George Washington or John Wayne to join. They joined after they became interested and ask a Mason how to go about it.
Freemasonry (or Masonry) is the oldest and largest fraternity in the world.
It brings men together from every walk of life, for fellowship, the promotion of integrity,
and good citizenship. It is not a political or religious organization, but it does require
a belief in a Supreme being. Basically, Masons believe that a man should seek membership
of his own free will and accord, not because someone asked him. If you would like to know
more, talk to a Mason--your questions will be welcome.
